Great 30 day couple�s prayer experiment

The introduction states, "Praying together may be the single most important spiritual discipline you and your spouse will ever share." A strong claim, but I fully agree and this book is a great way to start or develop that powerful discipline of prayer together.
The book has 30 brief daily readings, and each reading also includes a question or activity for reflection and a sample prayer or prayer points for the couple to use as a springboard to pray together. Not only does going through the "30 day prayer experiment" of this book develop this important habit, but the chapters bring up a lot of great topics of discussion, biblical truths to consider, marriage and family building habits, etc. Great stuff!

Good Start

We've been reading this book for nearly one week now, and even if we miss a day of reading, it has encouraged us to still pray. It is helping us to focus and directs our prayers, instead of the "routine" prayers. The book also asks questions and created communication (though we are not always up answering it still puts the thougts in our heads). It is also a very short nightly read, so it is easier to pick up when tired than a longer devotional. I thoroughly enjoy the works of D&B Rainey, and this little book is no exception. It will make a great wedding gift too - what better way to start a marriage than by praying together every night!

SO GLAD WE GOT THIS BOOK

We wanted to start praying together but didn't know where to start. And found it just a little
uncomfortable. We started right away and haven't missed a single day sense. It's been really
awesome for us. It gives you suggested prayers to start out with, and then as you get farther
along you get prayer points. I love the real life stories they put in of their own family
and struggles, and we found we could relate to many of them. If your wanting to start praying
together as a couple and just don't know where or how to start and need a little nudge..this
book is an awesome choice.
